William Afton, at the age of 14, was amazed by the animatronics at Chuck E Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre. He wanted to do something with animatronics when he grew up. Then, 20 years later, he formed a company named "Fazbear Entertainment" and lived his dream of working with animatronics. He built animatronics for the TV show below...
Fredbear & Friends! (1983)
Fredbear & Friends! was the first (and only) television show Fazbear Entertainment created. It featured animatronic characters that would talk and interact with each other.
The cast consisted of Fredbear, Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy the Pirate.
There would often be a conflict, then Fredbear or Freddy would solve it while singing a song that relates to the solution. Usually the conflict was made by someone by mistake, or Foxy. Foxy was supposed to be the villain in the show, but continued on to be a good guy in the restaurants. William was really proud of himself to make the animatronics AND direct the show at the same time. But sadly, the show was cancelled because it was costing too much to program five animatronic characters. But after 4 years, in 1987, the show had re-runs on TV before it was officially cancelled in 1990.

Fredbear's Family Diner (1987)
This was the first restaurant that Fazbear Entertainment created.
The restaurant contained two animatronic characters who were (from left to right) Fredbear and Spring Bonnie.
Fredbear was from Fredbear and Friends! and Spring Bonnie was totally new.
These animatronics were not only animatronics, but wearable suits as well. This was possible due to "SpringLocks", which were parts inside the animatronics which 'locked' and held back animatronic parts, and when unlocked, 'sprung' the parts back. Thus the name "SpringLock".
To function it as a suit, one would have to open up a small door in the back of the animatronic, and insert a crank. Then one would turn the crank clock wise until it was in "costume mode."
Then, one would take off the mascot head, and climb into the body. Then, one would put the mask over their head, and then entertain children! When one got out, they would turn the crank counter-clock wise, and it would then be able to function as an animatronic.
However, Fazbear Entertainment stopped making Springlock Suits because of two Springlock Failures.
Another interesting thing was at the Prize Corner, where one could get small walking and talking animatronics named "Spring Bonnie Walk-n-Talks". They were basically tiny Spring Bonnies which were fully movable and would talk to its owner.
One could also get "food" for him at the Prize Corner. If one put it in his mouth, then he would "eat" it by gently nipping it. Unfortunately, kids kept on putting their fingers into it, and it nipped them. It didn't hurt much to kids, but it did to young toddlers. After that, people started calling it "Plushtrap" or Fingertrap". They also sold Fredbear plushies.
In 1986, Fredbear's sadly had to close down. Fredbear was scrapped and Spring Bonnie was later kept in the 1997 Freddy's (Backstage, of course) before being found and used in Fazbear's Fright: The Horror Attraction.

(The New and Improved) Freddy Fazbear's Pizza (1987)
The second restaurant that Fazbear Entertainment created.
The main mascot was named "Toy Freddy Fazbear", along with his bandmates being named Toy Bonnie and Toy Chica. There was also Funtime Foxy, who was a "put together and take apart attraction".
These four were the most advanced animatronics Fazbear Entertainment ever created. They were equipped with facial recognization, so they could scan someone while looking at them and match them to the criminal database, and were able to call the police if there was a criminal.
This location also had two new characters, named Balloon Boy -or BB- and The Puppet.
BB's purpose was advertising balloons. (hence the sign he held that read Balloons.) He did not move, but there was a speaker in his mouth from which he would "talk" and often advertise how you can get balloons at The Prize Corner. When he was not talking, he could also be seen saying things like "hi!" or "hello!", or even giggle.
The Puppet was basically a Jack-in-the-box. When the crank on it's music box was turned, it played a melody, often "My Grandfather's Clock". When the music stopped, the lid slowly opened and The Puppet would slowly rise out and would say something before slowly going back down along with the lid. It's movements were similar to The Murray Bridge Bunyip. The main band and Funtime Foxy were named after the characters in Fredbear & Friends! (See above).
After four weeks, this Freddy Fazbear's Pizza got closed down. This was because of 6 murders which occurred in and outside of the building. The first 5 victims were 5 children, and the 6th victim is explained below. The toy animatronics were scrapped due to malfunctions.
However, In The Parts & Service Room, were all the animatronics that were in Fredbear & Friends (excluding Fredbear). They were kept in hopes of a possible reorganization of the company.

Freddy Fazbear's Pizza (1997)
The third restaurant that Fazbear Entertainment created.
Opened in 1997, this restaurant had all the animatronics from Fredbear & Friends (excluding Fredbear), repaired so that they would work properly again. They were given new suits, modeled after the old ones, but the endoskeleton stayed the same.
These animatronics were stored in the previous restaurant in the Parts & Service Room, before it was closed down.
Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny, and Chica the Chicken were the names of the band members.
Foxy the Pirate had his own stage (Pirate Cove) that was eventually put out of order.
After a few years, In 2002, another incident occurred where 5 kids in total were murdered inside the backstage of the pizzeria. The suspect was eventually caught, but in the end, neither the children nor their bodies were ever found.
After the murders, less and less people started to come to Freddy's, and the company was not getting enough money. They did a few things to balance their budget, such as taking out the arcade games that were beside Pirate Cove, and making Pirate Cove out of order completely, but it didn't matter. The pizzeria closed down in 2003.
It also closed down because of a foul smell inside the pizzeria. No one knows why this was happening.
(Fun Fact: this pizzeria is the one Fazbear Entertainment is most known for. Hence why we named the website Freddy Fazbear's Pizza instead of Fazbear Entertainment.)

Fazbear's Fright: The Horror Attraction
'The first attraction that Fazbear Entertainment created was Fazbear's Fright: The Horror Attraction. It was a replica of the old Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, located inside a local amusement park, meant to revive the decades-old urban legends that the restaurants were haunted. In the early development of the attraction, some of the (soon to be) managers were digging through the original pizzeria (see above) to find some props and decorations for Fazbear's Fright. The list of what they found is as follows:
- Left over animatronic parts from backstage
- Children's drawings
- Posters
- Arcade cabinets
- An old box with animatronic pieces from the 1987 Freddy's and Fredbear and Friends!
- A fan
- A cardboard paper plate man
- A desk
- The Puppet's (1987 Freddy's mascot) mask.
- Plastic "present" decorations
The next day, they were tipped off about an old animatronic from Fredbear's Family Diner, Spring Bonnie, walled up in a room. They then put all of this in the attraction.
Outfitted with old animatronic parts and suits, as well as dim lighting and true-to-life decor, patrons would walk through the building like a haunted house, with Spring Bonnie following them. Spring Bonnie was heavily damaged, tinged with a dirty golden-greenish color, and rips and tears covering his whole body. This is probably due to years of rotting and collecting dust. The attraction was supposed to open every Halloween, But before it even opened it's doors, it burned down. This was probably due to faulty wiring. Only a few items survived the fire, and they were sold at public auction. (See our Collectibles page.)

William Afton
William Afton was the founder of Fazbear Entertainment and creator of all the animatronics featured in Fazbear Entertainment. He had 2 sons named Max and Cameron. Max was very sensitive and would cry easily. Cameron bullied him because of this. William, being the creator of the animatronics, usually kept some of the animatronics in his house. Cameron bullied Max by putting on plastic masks from the Prize Corner and scaring him.
However, Cameron quickly regretted being a bully on Max's 10th birthday party, Max had his party at Fredbear's Family Diner, and was injured by an animatronic because Cameron and his friends shoved him into the animatronics mouth. The animatronics SpringLocks loosened and "bit" Max, crushing his skull. The doctor had to perform a lobotomy in order for him to survive. And he did.
Max was mysteriously was found dead in front of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza (1987) a month later. Leaving only William, and Cameron left in the family. This made William almost give up with Fazbear Entertainment. But after 10 years, he wanted to make another restaurant to honor the death of his son. So he created Freddy Fazbear's Pizza in 1997. Even if it had a lower budget than the 1987 Freddy's had, he tried to make it as safe of a place as possible, so no one gets hurt. But after 6 years, 5 children went missing inside the pizzeria, and then less people started to come. William was forced to shut the restaurant down in 2003. The next day, William was not in the house. Nobody was able to find him, and Cameron moved into his mothers house until he grew up to be 19. This has made many people believe that all the restaurants Fazbear Entertainment has created to be haunted. (Which was the inspiration of Fazbear's Fright) Specifically the 1997 Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, which has remained longer than Fredbear's, the other Freddy's, or Fazbear's Fright. Even though it is closed.
